We are working hard to make West Midlands Police Museum fully accessible to families and groups with SEND needs, including new picture exchange labelling created with Widgit Online® . Before your visit
Our museum is housed in a traditional Victorian Lock-Up. This means that some people can find navigating the unique building quite difficult. To help with this, we have created a pictorial walk-through of the building, hosted by Cookie, the Lock-Up cat.
Backpacks
We have created Cookie the Cat’s fidget backpacks for visits who might need a little extra support. The blue, green and pink backpacks each contain a letter from Cookie the Cat; a picture walk-through; a game sheet; a to-do list; ear defenders; sensory and fidget toys; a magnifying glass; a sand timer; a Cookie the Cat hand puppet to show you around.
