Family Events

We always work hard to offer events that families can take part in together. Some of our most exciting events so far include Movie Mondays, Family Forensics Fridays and our Christmas Grotto weekend.

Here you can find out about what we are focusing on with visiting families and learn about our upcoming events.

June 2025

June is Pride Month, a month of honour and celebration of our LGBTQ+ community, their achievements and the ongoing struggle for equality. So, while Birmingham is full of rainbow flags, we are honouring those members of West Midlands Police who have fought for and achieved their rights.

The first week of the month is National Volunteers Week, so while we thank our fantastic volunteers for all of their help and support, why don’t you consider joining our fabulous museum education team? Just follow this link for more information.

There are no school holidays in June, but we haven’t forgotten about our family engagement. Until the end of term we are hosting a competition for our visitors who are part of Brownies, Guides, Scouts and other youth groups. We are looking for an exciting new blanket patch to sell in our shop and the designer of the winning patch can win a free sleepover at the museum for their whole group, worth more than £800! See the advertisement below for more information and to download the application form. Good luck!
