We had so much fun finding out about local hauntings and putting grown-ups on trial during October Half Term. Thanks to everyone who joined in with our witch trials, we were amazed by the excellent engagement by 24 young people and their 24 brave grown-ups, who were willing to be the butt of our jokes and we couldn’t have run the cases without our 75 jurors or the many people who joined us in the public gallery.
Our latest children’s book is available now!
Written by our Events and Volunteers Coordinator, Jon Print and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as part of our Fashion Police project, Peeking into Policing and Unlocking the Lock-Up: A kids’ guide to crime, punishment and policing in the West Midlands has arrived and is available in our on-site and online shops, hot off the press.
Your last chance to visit our anniversary exhibition
We have had lots of positive feedback about our exhibition celebrating 10 years since the Lock-Up closed as a custody facility. It will remain in place in our newly refurbished temporary exhibition space until 24 November, when the space will begin the transformation into Santa’s grotto – one of our favourite times of year!
The exhibition is included in the standard museum entrance fee, so why not come and visit, to see it before it closes at the end of the month?
